CLOUD SERVICES
Disaster Recovery (DRaaS)
Disaster Recovery as a Service, managed by our own engineers. Recover from any source, with recovery points down to 15 minutes and recovery times down to one hour.
HOW RECOVERY WORKS
Recovery planned, run and maintained by our engineers
Ransomware, site outages, failed changes and data loss all end the same way: production is down and the clock is running. Valor Cloud DRaaS replicates your critical workloads to our recovery infrastructure so they can come back online on a plan you’ve already rehearsed.
We provide white-glove support from planning through failover and maintain the recovery infrastructure, so your team stays focused on production.

DRAAS USE CASES
Recover from whatever takes production down
One recovery platform, whatever you run and whatever goes wrong.
Any source, one platform
On-prem, VMware, hyperscaler or Valor Cloud workloads all recover to one platform, with one team behind every recovery.
Beyond the hypervisor
Single-hypervisor DR made sense when everything ran on one. Your recovery shouldn’t belong to your hypervisor vendor.
Ransomware
Roll back to a clean point from before the encryption hit. Restore instead of negotiating, with recovery you’ve tested.
Site outages
A data center, region or facility goes dark, planned or not. Fail over to our recovery infrastructure and get back online.
Data loss
A bad deploy, a failed migration or human error. Recover to the last known good point and get your team back to work.
Compliance
Meet auditor, regulator and cyber insurance requirements, with documented test results that prove your recovery works.
BY THE NUMBERS
Pay for fast recovery only where you need it
Critical systems get the shortest targets, and everything else doesn’t carry the cost.

Shortest recovery point objective
1 hour
Fastest recovery time objective

WHERE RECOVERY RUNS
White-glove support on recovery infrastructure we maintain
We maintain the recovery infrastructure so you don’t. Our engineers handle monitoring, maintenance and failover assistance, so your team stays focused on production.
Your workloads replicate to our recovery infrastructure, so if your own site goes dark, recovery is already waiting.
TESTING AND COMPLIANCE
Every test leaves a record you can show an auditor
Our cloud engineers run test restores and monitor your jobs, and each test produces results you can hand to auditors, regulators and cyber insurers.
Your team can also run its own test failovers, trigger recovery and track replication and job status from a self-service portal built for DR.

What Is DRaaS? Disaster Recovery as a Service
View ArticleFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your cloud disaster recovery questions, answered
What buyers ask when evaluating DRaaS and managed disaster recovery providers.
What is disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS)?
Disaster recovery as a service replicates your servers and data to a secondary cloud environment, so you can fail over and keep running if your primary site goes down. With managed DRaaS on Valor Cloud, our engineers set up, monitor and test the replication for you, and they’re on call 24/7 when you need to recover.
What’s the difference between DRaaS and backup?
Backup stores copies of your data so you can restore files or systems later, which can take hours or days. DRaaS keeps replicated systems ready to run, so you can fail over in minutes and keep the business operating. Most companies need both: backup for retention and DRaaS for fast recovery.
What do RPO and RTO mean?
Recovery point objective (RPO) is how much data you can afford to lose, measured in time since the last copy. Recovery time objective (RTO) is how long you can afford to be down. With our DRaaS, recovery targets are set per workload, so critical systems get tighter targets than everything else.
What environments can you recover?
On-prem, VMware, hyperscaler and Valor Cloud workloads all recover to one platform, so your recovery strategy doesn’t depend on your hypervisor.
How do failover and testing work?
Our engineers handle test restores, failover assistance and job monitoring. Your team can also run test failovers, trigger recovery and track replication from a self-service portal.
Can DRaaS help me recover from ransomware?
Yes. You can roll back to a clean point from before the encryption hit. Pair it with Cloud BaaS for immutable offsite copies that attackers can’t touch.
Does managed disaster recovery help with compliance?
Test results document that your recovery works, which helps you meet auditor, regulator and cyber insurance requirements.
How is DRaaS priced?
Agent licensing is charged per protected workload. Tier 2 storage is priced per GB, with a multiplier tied to each workload’s RPO, since tighter recovery points hold more data. Compute reservations are optional: CPU and RAM held for failover, sized to what runs during recovery.
