CONNECTIVITY SERVICES
Cloud Connectivity
Megaport-enabled data centers deliver on-demand, software-defined connections to the cloud, bypassing the public internet and its egress fees.
BUILT FOR HYBRID IT
A private path to the cloud, provisioned in minutes, not weeks
Megaport consolidates every connection into one platform: data center to cloud, cloud to cloud or dedicated internet. Establish links to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud in minutes, then scale capacity or add clouds from the same portal.
ValorC3 facilities are Megaport-enabled, so on-ramps are available when your deployment goes live. Offered at BOI-1 in Boise and STG-1 in St. George.

BENEFITS
Faster connectivity, lower data egress fees, better security
Direct, private connections to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, built for hybrid IT.
Data egress cost savings
Public cloud egress fees add up fast. Direct connectivity through Megaport typically cuts those costs by 70 to 80 percent.
Provisioned in minutes
Skip the weeks-long circuit build. Spin up a cloud connection through the Megaport portal, often in under a minute.
Better security by default
A private connection keeps your traffic off the public internet, reducing exposure without extra hardware or a VPN to manage.
Flexible, consumption-based terms
No long-term circuit contract required. Scale bandwidth up or down as workloads change, and pay for what you use.
HOW IT WORKS
We handle the facility. Megaport handles the connection
Simple, straightforward and far faster provisioning than a traditional carrier circuit.
We provide the cross connects
Your deployment connects into the Megaport network through a cross connect at our facility. That is our part, the physical link.
You provision through Megaport
Log into the Megaport portal, choose your cloud destination and provision a Virtual Cross Connect (VXC).
Megaport bills you directly
Megaport contracts and bills for the connection directly, separate from your ValorC3 colocation or cloud invoice.
USE CASES
Where Megaport NaaS fits into your network
Hybrid IT, multi-cloud and cost control through one platform.
Hybrid IT infrastructure
Run steady-state workloads on colocation or Valor Cloud and burst into public cloud only when capacity is needed.
Multi-cloud strategy
Connect to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud independently from the same infrastructure, without a separate connectivity model for each.
Cloud cost optimization
Lower egress costs on data-heavy workloads, backups, replication and analytics by moving traffic onto a private connection.
Latency-sensitive workloads
Bypass public internet congestion entirely for applications where latency matters more than a standard connection allows.
Primary internet connectivity
Some enterprises use Megaport as their primary connection instead of a traditional carrier or blended IP, with no physical circuit required.

Your cloud connectivity questions, answered
What buyers ask about private cloud connections, multi-cloud and Megaport.
What is a cloud direct connect?
A cloud direct connect is a private, dedicated connection from your infrastructure straight into a cloud provider’s network, bypassing the public internet. Megaport cloud on-ramps are one way to establish this connection.
What is an availability zone?
An availability zone is an isolated location within a cloud provider’s region, each with its own power, cooling and networking, so a failure in one zone doesn’t take down workloads running in another.
What is Network as a Service (NaaS)?
NaaS is a model where network connectivity is delivered on-demand and billed by consumption, rather than through a fixed, long-term circuit. Megaport is a NaaS platform, provisioned and managed entirely online.
What’s the difference between data ingress and egress?
Ingress is data coming into your network or cloud environment. Egress is data leaving it. Cloud providers typically charge for egress, which is why a direct connection that avoids the public internet can meaningfully cut costs.
Which cloud providers can I connect to?
Through Megaport, you can connect directly to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and 300+ other cloud platforms and service providers, all from the our data center facilities.
How fast can I provision a cloud connection?
Once your ValorC3 Data Centers cross connect to the Megaport fabric is live, new connections to cloud providers or other locations can typically be provisioned in minutes through Megaport’s portal, not the weeks a traditional circuit can take.
Does using Megaport reduce data egress costs?
Yes. Routing data directly to your cloud provider through Megaport, instead of over the public internet, typically reduces egress costs by 70 to 80 percent.
