CLOUD SERVICES

Cloud IaaS: Infrastructure, without the surprises

Infrastructure as a Service with a managed hypervisor, running on our infrastructure in our own data centers. Priced by committed pool or per VM, with no egress fees.

PREDICTABLE CLOUD SPEND

Simple billing and no egress fees, so your cloud costs stay forecastable

Cloud spending is hard to forecast when compute, storage, data transfer and support show up as separate line items. Valor Cloud prices resources the way you use them, by committed pool or per VM, so the bill stays readable as your environment grows.

Start with one workload or bring your whole estate. Either way, you get a fully managed platform with integrated operating system licensing, high availability and a Level 3 cloud engineer on call around the clock, so your team stays focused on applications instead of infrastructure.

BY THE NUMBERS

The details that keep your bill readable

No egress meter, backup included with every per-VM instance and an engineer on call around the clock.

$0

Egress fees. Your data moves when you say so

14

Day Veeam backup included with every per-VM instance

24/7

Level 3 cloud engineer on call, every day of the year

CLOUD USE CASES

Here’s where IT teams put IaaS to work

From steady production and hybrid estates to dev, test and regulated data, on infrastructure sized to what each one needs.

Steady-state production

Databases, ERP and always-on services that run around the clock, the workloads hyperscaler pricing punishes.

Hybrid IT infrastructure

Run VMs beside your colocation racks and keep a hyperscaler in the mix through Megaport, one provider for all of it.

Regulated and sovereign workloads

Private single tenant environments for compliance, residency, sensitivity or isolation requirements, fully managed.

Dev, test and staging environments

Stand up cloud servers for dev, test and staging without a hardware purchase, sized to what the project needs.

Data analytics and warehousing

BI, data lakes and reporting workloads need burst compute, with a committed baseline and overage, not a peak cluster.

File services and storage

File shares and archive data on Tier 2 SSD or Tier 3 archival storage, so aging NAS and SAN gear can retire.

Identity and security infrastructure

Domain controllers, security tooling and monitoring stacks that run next to the rest of production, fully managed.

Batch processing and rendering

Modeling, rendering and other short-window jobs that need a lot of compute for a little while, covered by burst.

Cloud repatriation

Workloads coming back from hyperscale when the bill stops making sense. Resource-based pricing changes the math.

VMWARE ALTERNATIVE

Leaving VMware or a hyperscaler? Move to a cloud with a bill you can forecast

Broadcom ended perpetual licensing and moved customers into bundles, and hyperscale bills have climbed for many organizations, with compute, storage and data transfer each priced separately. Both make budgeting harder every renewal cycle.

Running an open platform yourself takes deep engineering expertise. We deliver Platform9 Cloud Director on OpenStack, managed by us, at the size you need, with resource-based pricing and no egress meter.

We provide migration support to get you there, and a Level 3 cloud engineer stays on call around the clock after cutover.

DATA PORTABILITY

Built on an open platform, so your workloads stay portable

Valor Cloud runs on Platform9 Cloud Director on OpenStack, an open source cloud platform used across the industry. Your environment isn’t tied to a proprietary hypervisor or a single vendor’s format, so there’s no lock-in and no exit tax.

That keeps your options open if your strategy or your vendor’s licensing changes.

WHERE IT RUNS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your cloud infrastructure questions, answered

What buyers ask when evaluating cloud providers, hypervisors and infrastructure options

What is Valor Cloud?

Valor Cloud is managed cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) that runs in our own data centers. It’s built on Platform9 and OpenStack, priced by committed pool or per VM, with no egress fees.

What are Platform9 and OpenStack, and why do they matter?

OpenStack is an open source cloud platform used across the industry. Platform9 manages it as a service. Because Valor Cloud is built on both, your environment isn’t tied to a proprietary hypervisor or a single vendor’s format.

What does managed cloud include?

We run the platform for you, including OS licensing, so your team isn’t building or maintaining the hypervisor layer. A Level 3 cloud engineer is on call 24/7/365, which is where the white glove support comes in.

Can I migrate from VMware to Valor Cloud?

Yes. Many customers move to Valor Cloud after Broadcom’s licensing changes raised their VMware costs. Our cloud engineers plan the migration with you, move workloads in phases, and stay available after cutover.

Is there a minimum core count?

Platform9 sold directly carries a 1,000-core minimum that many teams can’t meet. Valor Cloud delivers the same platform fully managed and at any size, from a single workload to your full estate.

How is Valor Cloud priced?

By committed pool or per VM, with no egress fees. That keeps the bill readable as your environment grows, instead of splitting compute, storage and data transfer into separate surprises.

Can I choose my own internet provider?

Yes. Our facilities are carrier neutral, so you can select from the carriers already on-site. Our in-house blended internet is one option among them, not a requirement.

Do you offer cloud on-ramps?

Yes. 100G Megaport connectivity gives you private paths to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and 300+ platforms, without routing traffic over the public internet. It’s available at BOI-1 in Boise and STG-1 in St. George.
